What if the resistance or discomfort you feel is pointing you toward the very thing you’re meant to step into?
For me personally, this always ends up being true.
In fact, there’ve been moments like this over the past two months I’ve had to navigate my way through as I write my very first self-authored book. 📚
Moments where I felt stuck in my writing. Or doubting myself. Wondering if the message and wisdom I want to convey will resonate for my readers…
But you know what?
I recognized immediately these moments of resistance and discomfort are just old patterns and fears arising that are actually just a sign of me expanding beyond my comfort zone as I step into the next chapter of my business and increase my impact in the world.
And something I’ve learned over the years is that resistance and discomfort, although misunderstood as a bad thing, is often a good thing.
Most women have been conditioned to interpret it as a warning sign—something to fix, numb, avoid, or push through as quickly as possible. But what if discomfort isn’t just a signal that something is wrong… but evidence that something is changing?
What if the very tension you’re feeling is the edge of your next expansion?
Growth rarely arrives wrapped in ease. It tends to show up as restlessness, friction, or the quiet (or loud) realization that what once fit no longer does. And for the high-capacity women I work with especially, this can feel deeply unsettling—because you’ve likely built a life that works, even if it no longer feels aligned.
Discomfort, in this context, isn’t failure.
It’s feedback.
It’s a signal for the moment your internal world begins to outgrow the structures you’ve created to hold it.
You might notice it as a lack of fulfillment in roles you once loved. A resistance to continuing patterns that used to feel automatic. A pull toward something more—even if you can’t fully articulate what that “more” is yet.
Instead of rushing to resolve the discomfort, what if you got curious about it?
Discomfort is often the space between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.
And that space can feel messy. Undefined. Vulnerable.
But it’s also where your power lives. 💪
Because expansion requires letting go—of identities, expectations, and ways of operating that were once necessary but are no longer true. And letting go rarely feels comfortable.
The key is learning how to be with discomfort without abandoning yourself inside of it.
That means slowing down instead of overriding. Listening instead of fixing. Allowing instead of controlling.
It means asking:
What is this discomfort trying to show me?
Where am I being invited to grow?
What am I ready to release?
For me personally, answering all of these questions has been enlightening.
And I promise you…
When you shift your relationship with discomfort, everything changes.
It stops being something you endure and becomes something you use.
A guide. A signal. A doorway to your next chapter.🚪
This is how you begin to move from survival into intentional expansion—not by avoiding discomfort, but by recognizing it as a natural and necessary part of becoming more of who you are.
So if you’re in a season where things feel uncertain, stretched, or uncomfortable, consider this:
You’re not off track.
You’re in the middle of your next evolution.
And the discomfort you feel isn’t there to stop you.
It’s there to lead you forward.
If you’re going through a period of resistance or discomfort right now and you feel called to explore how this might actually be an opportunity for expansion, let’s connect.
I’d be happy to offer you 15 minutes of my time to support you in that expansion. 💫
